Jordan Phillips, Director of Bands/AP Music Theory
An Orlando, Florida native, Jordan Phillips is a recent graduate of The Florida State University, having received a Bachelor’s of Music Education with Honors in May 2022. His concentrations included instrumental conducting and special music education. His teaching philosophy is to provide well-rounded, developmentally-appropriate music education to his students. Furthermore, encouraging students to be not only life-long appreciators of music but, more importantly, advocates of music education. Jordan’s most recent appointment was as a student teaching intern at Freedom High School in Orlando, Florida. While at Freedom, he developed and delivered lessons for beginning, concert, and jazz bands. He also coached percussion and chamber music. His professional memberships include the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honorary, National Association for Music Education, Florida Music Education Association, and the Florida Bandmasters Association |
Mark Bocarro, Director of Orchestras/Associate Director of Bands
Mark Bocarro received his Bachelor of Music Education from The Florida State University. This is his fourth year at Harmony High School, and previously served on the faculty at Tohopekaliga High School. In addition to his duties at Harmony High School, he also directs the Orchestras at Harmony Middle School. |
