The Harmony High School Band Boosters, Inc. is dedicated to supporting the Marching Band, Color Guard, Jazz Band, Concert Band and Orchestra programs. The mission of our Booster Club is to promote the talent in each of our students and continually support our music programs at various marching and concert events and with fundraising activities. We organize fundraisers to pay for band supplies, entry fees, some transportation costs to competitions, water and refreshments for the students, equipment, uniforms (upkeep and new purchases), instrument repairs, music, flags, coaches, and other band, orchestra & guard needs as identified by the band, orchestra and color guard directors.
Harmony High School Band is currently the most recognized band in our school district! The music program is stronger than it has ever been. As an HHS Band Booster member and volunteering your time, you are helping to ensure the success of this outstanding program. Not only will you meet other parents, family members and alumni, but you’ll also have opportunities to participate behind the scenes by helping with constructing props, uniform fittings, game day preparations, chaperoning events, transporting equipment, cooking, cleaning, fundraising, coordinating travel/transportation, chaperoning and whatever else needed to help the HHS Band take the field each week and support the students throughout the year. In addition to volunteering time, boosters often provide the band with community resources including financial support, donations, and access to equipment and facilities.
EVERYONE is a member! With ever increasing budget cuts to the arts & music programs, we need your support to improve our music programs today, and plan for healthy music programs for the future! We are an entirely volunteer family that supports our band students. If you are an adult member of the band, guard or orchestra family, you are a HHS Band Booster!
Being a booster is rewarding and fun! One of our more popular positions is that of Chaperone. Parent-chaperones are a necessary part of moving the band to our scheduled venues including football games, competitions, MPAs, and parades. Adult supervision is required on all school trips. Additionally, parent chaperones assist the band function by handling drinking water, loading equipment, and helping students carry equipment on and off of the field. All volunteers must have an approved OASIS application on file with the school district. To become an OASIS School Volunteer, click here.
It takes the untiring support from our Booster Parents -- YOU -- for the bands to attain their highest potential. YOU are a big part of their success!
